Surf and SUP in Punta de Mita

Punta de Mita is a mecca for surf and one of the best spots to learn in all of Mexico. Just in town alone we have several beginner-friendly surf breaks within walking distance, and over half a dozen more within a 10-15 drive or boat ride.  

Apart from the easily accessible breaks, there is also a long list of local businesses to choose from if you would like to rent a board, take a lesson or schedule a surf trip to a more secluded spot. 

We love to recommend local surf instructor Jose Luis, at Mita Surf House. Luis is a certified surf coach as well as lifeguard, and has years of experience teaching people of all ages to enjoy the waves and surf culture in "Mita".
